Destiny's Child - This Girl Is Mine​
We were told to replicate a music video of our choice, paying attention to the mise en scene, shot types, locations. I chose this song and video as I wanted to try the technique of reversing one set of people. I did this by filming myself walking backwards with everyone else walking forward and in different directions. I then reversed the clip in post production to make it look like I was walking forward.
One Minute Music Video Practise
Ella Eyre - Good Times

The task set was to complete a one minute music video from scratch, having to come up with ideas of the shots, location, pace, transitions etc. I decided to go for a more upbeat song as I figured I could take many multiple clips and aim to fit them to the beat of the song. I used smoke grenades (as inspired by the 'Sweet Lovin' music video, as it gave a more dance, party feel to it. Personally, i'm not sure that I achieved that so if I was to use them again, I would ensure that i get multiple cameras to film the action from multiple angles and see if this helps. I also would have a wider cast, as I feel that having only a small number of people didn't give the same feel I was going for (which was friends going out, having a good time).
