The artist I chose to analyse is Dua Lipa. From opening the website (https://dualipa.com/) you are immediately shown the name and the social media/streaming platforms for you to interact with her music. There is also a button that takes you to the main website, where you can see the merchandise, tour dates, albums and singles, news and videos.
The main page of the website features a lot of the pages to get you to access them quickly. Currently, the song that is featured at the top is 'IDGAF' and then the first video we see is 'Electricity' which is her latest video to have been released. The fact all the main focus are on the same page is because the main rule for websites is that you are supposed to find what you are looking for within 3 clicks.
There are news posts like the nominations for the Brits and Radio award Nominations. At the bottom of the page, there is a sign up link where you can type your email address in and keep up to date with all the news, events and competitions. There are lots of photos of Dua on her page, making sure it keeps the audience engaged as to what she has been up to, planning to do.
The website represents Dua as a young female artist that has a more sexy/playful side (see photo with her laying with a flower in her mouth). The shots of her are often close ups or mid shots, some being taken from the music videos themselves or some from her Instagram which is linked to the website. If you are a first time fan and are only just discovering her, then you will be introduced to her videos very quickly, links to her songs on all streaming platforms and online platforms (Amazon for cd's and vinyl's).
